I look at it as a yearning for confrontation, especially when at least for some people - you and i included - there is this weird thing to do things the "right" way, against the flow about how everyone around is doing things not just differently, but in such a bloody inefficient manner that makes you want to say "For God's Sake!" Maybe confrontation is too harsh a word, resistance may suffice... its not common... i dont see most people having it, but i doubt it has anything to do with insecurity. Truth is, everyone is insecure about the future, whether they admit it or not. Maybe bar a small handful... me, i celebrate it - i like to set things right. purely for my own satisfaction... “Where does this love for the ideal world come from? But in 'The Matrix', the agent does say that the first attempt at creating the Matrix failed because it was an ideal world. So the second Matrix was more like what the humans were living in. Full of conflict and despair. Who knows? We may actually atrophy in an ideal world. This may be cliched.
